Healthforce is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a 13-week LTAC travel assignment in Franklin, WV. The role offers a 5x8 daytime schedule (08:00–16:30) with 35 hours per week and weekly pay ranging from $1,535 to $1,635.

You'll work in a skilled nursing LTAC setting under supervision of a PT, focusing on mobility, gait, and functional endurance. Ideal candidates have LTAC or skilled nursing facility experience and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• LTAC or skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Day shift 08:00–16:30, 5x8 schedule.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Follow treatment plan under supervision and document accurately.
• Reliability, punctuality, and adherence to safety/privacy practices.
• Adaptable to long-term care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing therapy interventions under the supervision of the physical therapist, focusing on mobility, strength, and functional endurance.
• Help patients perform therapeutic exercises and activity-based tasks tailored to individual plans of care.
• Support gait training, transfers, balance activities, and use of assistive devices as directed.
• Monitor patient response during sessions, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
• Maintain safety and infection control standards; ensure equipment is clean, calibrated, and used correctly.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support discharge planning when appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies as directed.
