Job summary

Southwest Allen County Schools seeks substitute teachers to support student learning in Indiana. The term runs approx. July 30, 2026 – December 18, 2026, with duties to help students learn subject matter and skills for growth.

Applicants may hold Indiana certification or be eligible for a Substitute Teacher permit. Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential; familiarity with computer assisted instruction is desirable.

Qualifications

• Certified teacher in the state of Indiana preferred, but not required.
• A Substitute Teacher permit is required if not licensed.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the use of computer assisted instruction desirable.

Qualifications
Certified teacher in the state of Indiana as regulated by the State Certification Department is preferred, but not required. A Substitute Teacher permit is required if not licensed. Ability to work in a team environment. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. Experience in the use of computer assisted instruction desirable. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
