Position Summary

Responsible for equipment selection, layout, assembly, welding, and installation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and fit components for installation.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, submerged arc, or gas welding techniques.
• Hoist equipment and tools into position using rigging or cranes.
• Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural steel members using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, and levels.
• Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts according to blueprints and supervisor instructions.
• Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment.
• Additional responsibilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial construction or maintenance industry.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Understanding of MSDS sheets in coordination with management/supervision.
