Job description

The Learning Resource Center-South (LRC-South) located at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey, is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to serve as the LRC-S Center and Circulation Coordinator. The LRC-South is an NJDOE grant-funded initiative that promotes inclusive education by proactively addressing the needs of all learners. We provide materials and resources to support students with disabilities, helping them succeed and achieve in the least restrictive environment.

LRC-S services include a production center, Xpress services, resource lending library, online resources, family events, and professional development. The LRC-S Center and Circulation Coordinator will facilitate the use of the LRC-S services by patron groups (including, but not limited to) pre-service educators, in-service teachers, administrators, other education professionals, families, and Rowan faculty.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the operations, maintenance, and organization of the LRC-South Library and Production Center
  • Utilizing software management systems to conduct library circulation operations, patron management, and draft reports
  • Assisting patrons with library and center activities in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Supporting LRC-South and NJDOE initiatives and projects in collaboration with the LRC-South leadership team
  • Assisting with LRC-South events, programs, and information tables
  • Supporting and developing informational and project-specific resources and materials
  • Overseeing and maintaining production equipment, including regular and large format printers, copiers, laminators, die cut machines, and their supplies
  • Maintaining essential records in accordance with LRC-South, Rowan University, and NJDOE guidelines
  • Maintaining currency on current educational topics in alignment with NJDOE initiatives
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Working nights and weekends as needed, for extended hours events
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervision: This position reports to the LRC-South Director/Grant PIs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Education or related field preferred
  • One year of professional experience
  • Understanding of inclusive environments and supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Fluency with Google Drive, including working within shared Google drives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 360
  • Excellent team collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-directed
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Salary: In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is AFT: Range 18 ($55,142.18 Min to $63,410.34), with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors.
