Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. The LPTA delivers prescribed therapies under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to enhance mobility and reduce pain as part of individualized care plans.

Responsibilities include documenting patient progress, educating patients and families, and ensuring safe, compliant care within hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associate program for Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure by the state of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1 year hospital clinical experience.

Responsabilités

• Review the plan of care and initiate treatment.
• Document patient progress and functional changes.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Communicate treatment responses to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Perform treatments under supervision and follow department policies.
