Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Pool Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support outpatient rehabilitation services. Under supervision of a PT, you will implement treatment plans, document patient progress, and educate patients and families to support functional improvement and safety.

You will collaborate with nurses and physicians, maintain safety, and contribute to quality initiatives while meeting productivity expectations, with an emphasis on aligning with APTA standards and BLS

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Carries out physical therapy interventions and activities as outlined in the plan of care by the supervising PT.
• Observes patient performance and progression, providing feedback to the PT.
• Produces accurate, timely documentation of treatments and patient progress in the medical record.
• Maintains a safe therapeutic environment per safety and infection control policies.
• Educates patients and families about therapy goals, exercises, mobility, and safety.
