Job summary

Lewisburg Healthcare Center, part of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, seeks an LPN Wound/Treatment Nurse to provide specialized care for residents in a long-term care setting in Ronceverte, WV. You will perform wound care, catheter care, and trach care per policy and physician orders.

The role requires an active LPN license, CPR certification, and experience in healthcare with a focus on wound/skin management. ACLS is preferred; supervisory experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current LPN license in the state where the center is located.
• Wound Certification preferred.
• Current CPR certification required, ACLS preferred.
• Prior healthcare experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.

Responsibilities

• Perform all wound care, dressing changes, ointments, sprays, and lotions for residents.
• Perform monthly replacements of gastric tubes and Foley catheters as assigned.
• Perform trach care and suctioning.
• Document treatment plans weekly in nurse notes and related records.
• Coordinate with physicians and reorder supplies from pharmacy or central supply as needed.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

Wound Certification

CPR certification

ACLS certification (preferred)

Supervisory experience in long-term care
