Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, Florida is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time day shift. You will deliver patient-centered nursing care in a physician-led clinic, document thoroughly in the EMR, and coordinate with physicians, labs, and referrals to support optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include evaluating progress, implementing plans of care, and advocating for patients while supervising clinical staff and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in Florida.
• BLS certification required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to document accurately in the EMR.
• English proficiency in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: M-F 8a-4:30p and perform duties as assigned.
• Provide nursing care in accordance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Implement interventions safely and document actions.
• Advocate for patients and coordinate with the care team.
• Supervise clinical staff and support clinic operations.
• Collaborate with labs, referrals, and insurance coordination.
• Collect data and analyze nursing diagnoses with the care team.
• Ensure culturally appropriate, realistic, and attainable outcomes.

Job Description:

• Schedule: M-F 8a-4:30p Other duties as assigned.
• Practices in accordance with the established laws and policies, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards pertinent to nursing practice.
• Evaluates the patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes, involving the patient, family, and other healthcare providers in the evaluation process, and revising diagnoses, outcomes, and the plan of care as needed.
• Implements interventions identified in the plan of care in a safe, timely, and appropriate manner, documenting them accurately.
• Assists in the development of a plan of care prescribing interventions to attain expected outcomes, individualized to the patient’s condition and needs, and reflecting current nursing practice.
• Serves as a patient advocate in accordance with the patient bill of rights, ensuring legal and ethical practice.
• Coordinates and provides quality patient-focused care in a physician’s clinic, assisting with procedures and communicating with patients regarding labs, medications, and referrals.
• Supervises and supports clinical staff through disciplinary and performance appraisal evaluation and management.
• Collaborates with laboratory director and clinics to establish appropriate policies and procedures, obtaining insurance referrals, authorizations, and precertifications.
• Collects patient health data through systematic and ongoing assessment involving the patient, family, and other healthcare providers.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine and document nursing diagnoses, validating them with the patient, family, and other healthcare providers when appropriate.
• Identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient, formulating them with the patient, family, and other healthcare providers, ensuring they are culturally appropriate, realistic, and attainable.

Work Experience:

• 1+ acute care experience [Preferred]
• 1+ healthcare experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) [Required]

Pay Range: $21.17 - $39.38
