Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Weekender Nurse (LPN) in Westlake, OH. Two 12-hour shifts between Fri 7 PM and Mon 7 AM earn a 1.5x premium. Weekenders receive full-time medical and dental benefits, while other benefits align with part-time eligibility.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited practical nurse program or currently enrolled in nursing program.
• 2+ years nursing experience (Level II) required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact (Required Upon Hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

Weekender Program – Salary And Schedule Overview

Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two (2) 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday. In return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for these shifts. Individuals in Weekender roles qualify for full-time medical and dental benefits, whereas eligibility for all other benefits is at part-time levels.

A Brief Overview

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

• Functions in accordance with the professional standards of the Ohio board of nursing.
• Completes/submits required documentation.

• Level II Only: 18 CNE's per year.
• 3 CNE’s in clinical specialty
• At least 5 CNE’s in Leadership
• Other CNE requirements will be agreed upon with manager

• 5 criteria with evidence of each.
