Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship seeks an LPN to provide patient care on a weekend 7p-7a schedule. You will work under supervision of licensed professionals and coordinate care with multiple departments, while upholding patient rights and Mercy standards.

The role supports new or experienced LPNs, with strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and continuous care. Eligible for education assistance, benefits, and retirement plans after 32+ hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; must maintain LPN licensure in the hiring state.
• Experience: can be new or experienced LPN.
• LPN-IV certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure. Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
• Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN
• Certifications:
  • LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • The Surgical 3B unit has 32 patient beds, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1-6 on days and nights. This unit is a fast-paced medical surgical telemetry floor which focuses on pre- and post-surgical patients, with a focus on GI, Urology and ENT surgeries. The Surgical 3B unit offers the opportunity to learn and perfect critical nursing skills such as:
  • Head to toe assessments
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • NG tubes
  • IV insertions
  • CBI's
  • Chest tubes, Trach and ostomy care
  • Drains
  • Wound Care
