Mercy is seeking a dedicated LPN to provide patient care under supervision, coordinating with multiple departments to ensure high standards of safety and privacy. The role supports the Surgical 3B unit, focusing on GI, Urology and ENT post- and pre-operative care.

New grads and experienced LPNs are welcome. Eligible for sign-on bonuses, tuition assistance, relocation support, and shift differentials. Mercy offers comprehensive health benefits and retirement plans.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; licensure required in the hiring state.
• LPN license current and in good standing; MO board rules followed.
• BLS required or completed within 30 days of hire.
• LPN-IV Certification required by Missouri State Board of Nursing.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

This position will work every weekend 7p-7a once off orientation

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
  Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
• Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN
• Certifications:
  • LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • The Surgical 3B unit has 32 patient beds, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1-6 on days and nights. This unit is a fast-paced medical surgical telemetry floor which focuses on pre- and post-surgical patients, with a focus on GI, Urology and ENT surgeries. The Surgical 3B unit offers the opportunity to learn and perfect critical nursing skills such as:
    • Head to toe assessments
    • Telemetry monitoring
    • NG tubes
    • IV insertions
    • CBI's
    • Chest tubes, Trach and ostomy care
    • Drains
    • Wound Care
