Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the night shift. You will provide patient care under supervision, use the nursing process, and coordinate with other departments while protecting patient rights and confidentiality.

Required ACLS, PALS, PEARS/S.T.A.B.L.E. programs, and BLS. Missouri LPN licensure is required; certification and ongoing education are expected within timelines. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

Minimum Qualifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Program (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association (required within 30 days of hire)
• LPN-IV Certification (Missouri only) – must be completed prior to hire or within 3 months of hire
• Additional unit-specific certifications as required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout each shift
• Ability to perform essential physical functions, including gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting to carry out job responsibilities
