Valor Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Okeechobee, FL. You will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care, collaborating with the PACT team and VA requirements.

You’ll work a weekday schedule with competitive salary and benefits, focusing on quality care for veterans and maintaining strict confidentiality. You’ll use VISTA/CPRS EMR and participate in patient education and care coordination.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or certificate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Minimum one-year experience as an LPN/LVN in primary or ambulatory care; government healthcare environment preferred.
• Must be credentialed and in good standing with the VA.
• Must have a valid unrestricted license in the state of employment.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS as required by VA contract.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; strong computer skills and EMR experience.
• Safety sensitive position.

Aufgaben

• Actively assists with patient care, physical examinations and ancillary tests.
• Performs nursing assessments and preventive health services; documents in EMR.
• Administers medications as ordered and records time and dose in the chart.
• Operates EKG and diagnostic equipment; performs routine tests.
• Dresses wounds, assists in emergencies, collects lab specimens as directed.
• Maintains clean treatment rooms and submits lab/radiology results for review.
• Provides patient and family education with a focus on self-management and wellness.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to VA and clinic training requirements.
