The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center, within Nursing Service. The LPN will perform duties that promote quality care and veteran-centered service, under nursing supervision.

Qualifications include a state-approved LPN/LVN program, active licensure, English proficiency, and compliance with VA standards. Responsibilities include direct patient care, education, and collaboration with RNs/MDs.

Qualifications

• Citizen requirement and English proficiency are required for direct patient care.
• Graduate of a State-approved practical nursing program with NLNAC accreditation where applicable.
• Active, full, current licensure as an LPN/LVN in the United States or DC.

Responsabilités

• Provide a full range of practical nursing care under supervision.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and treatment plans.
• Assist in orientation and training of less experienced staff.
