Job summary

Atrius Health in Burlington, MA seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care in the Urgent Care Pediatrics department. You will administer medications, document care, and support the clinical team within established policies and procedures.

The schedule features two 9-hour weekday shifts and occasional weekend coverage. Required is graduation from a state-approved LPN program, MA licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a state-approved school of practical nursing.
• Current, unrestricted LPN license to practice in Massachusetts.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Ability to use electronic tools and applications relevant to duties.

Responsibilities

• Functions within a designated clinical team.
• Obtains and documents patient information and escalates as needed.
• Provides patient education under a care plan.
• Obtains vital signs and department-based testing.
• Administers medications and treatments per policy.
• Starts and monitors IV infusions and communicates needs to clinicians.
• Documents care activities in the electronic medical record.
• Explains procedures to patients and prepares exam setups.
• Maintains confidentiality and communicates test results or follow-up plans.
