Job summary

UNC Health Nash Urgent Care Middlesex is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our skilled team on a day shift. You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting, implement care plans, and collaborate with physicians and other professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient responses to treatments, documenting observations, and supporting discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program is required.
• Proper licensure as an LPN in NC and BCLS certification are required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedural manuals.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a current care plan in collaboration with health professionals.
• Documents patient status, monitors response to treatments, and communicates changes to the care team.
• Participates in unit and departmental activities to improve patient care and outcomes.
• Administers medications and assists with procedures as ordered by clinicians.
• Assists patients and families with orientation and discharge planning.
