Job summary

IU Health in Bloomington, IN is seeking an LPN to join a fast-paced clinic team. The role focuses on nursing care planning, patient assessment, triage, and administering basic medications, injections, and phlebotomy.

Qualifications

• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Requires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Requires an active LPN license in Indiana or an NLC LPN license.
• Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per unit policies.
• Orientation successfully completed.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient triage and point-of-care (POC) testing.
• Complete phlebotomy, injections, and medication administration as assigned.
• Conduct lab result callbacks and provide patient follow-up communication.
• Deliver high-quality patient care while supporting efficient clinic operations.
• Collaborate with nursing and healthcare teams to evaluate patient status and adjust care as needed.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

• Knows and uses the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to individual patients. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team. Evaluates response to interventions and patient status toward goal achievement. Accepts delegated nursing measures for which he or she knows he or she is prepared, qualified and licensed to perform.
• Requires graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Requires an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) LPN license.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Successful completion of orientation required.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
