Job summary

Augusta Health is seeking an LPN Trainee to provide clinical support and assist in running an efficient clinic under physician supervision. The role includes direct patient care, documentation, and participation in daily operations within a fast-paced medical office.

Successful candidates are enrolled in the Augusta Health LPN Scholars Program and aim to obtain Virginia licensure within 24 months. CPR certification is required, and prior physician office experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active enrollment in Augusta Health LPN Scholars Program with completion within 24 months of hire.
• CPR certified.
• LPN licensure by the State of Virginia within 24 months of hire.
• Ability to meet physical and mental requirements of a fast paced physician practice.
• Previous physician office experience preferred.

The Augusta Health Scholar: LPN Trainee will provide clinical support to other clinicians and Providers as needed and will provide limited care directly to patients. Duties include performing as a member of the team and assisting in the administration and maintenance of an efficiently operated clinic. Accurately performs and documents assigned duties under the direction and supervision of the physician in accordance with the medical model of care as provided by the State Board of Nursing

Initiates implementation of processes and has access to all operational components of the office as required by daily operations.

Access to operational components of a practice includes access to physician’s office, medical records, and supplies.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Active enrollment in the Augusta Health LPN Scholars Program with successful completion of the program within 24 months of hire.
• CPR certified.
• Licensure as an LPN by the State of Virginia within 24 months of hire.
• Ability to meet physical and mental requirements of a fast paced physician practice
• Previous physician office experience preferred
