GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role is part of the healthcare team, responsible for providing care to patients and families under the supervision of a registered nurse.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Perform general nursing care within the scope of an LPN. (30%)
  2. Assist with equipment preparation and support clinical providers during treatments, examinations, and testing. (20%)
  3. Collect assessment data, prepare patients for examinations, document clinical information, and report changes in patient conditions. (20%)
  4. Order and gather diagnostic tests as directed, and review results prior to assessments. (20%)
  5. Schedule procedures, obtain necessary authorizations, and assist with medical tasks such as administering medications and collecting specimens. (20%)
  6. Perform other duties as assigned. (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or current multi-state licensure via the Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance

Preferred

  • At least 1 year of healthcare experience
  • PALS or ACLS certification
  • State-approved IV certification course
  • Experience with EPIC documentation and assessments
