Surgery Alliance, Ltd in Kentucky is seeking an LPN/Surgical Scrub Technologist to provide direct patient care and assist the surgical team. You will prepare patients for procedures, assist in the operation, and help maintain sterile technique and instrument readiness.
The position is casual and part-time, with pay based on experience. Requirements include an LPN or scrub tech training, OR experience, and CPR; ophthalmology experience is a plus.
The LPN/Surgical Scrub Technologist performs direct patient care activities; assisting in patient preparation for surgery/procedure; performs tasks related to the procedure; and assists in maintaining a clean, organized and prepared work environment. Needs to have a working knowledge of all operating/procedure room equipment, including emergency equipment used in Code situations. Must maintain a working knowledge of surgical instruments used by the surgeons in the center, along with the care, maintenance and knowledge of various sterilization techniques used in the processing of the instrumentation.
Our facility is focused on ophthalmology and currently operates Monday-Thursday (12-20 hours/week).
