The role requires adherence to Federal, State, and local standards, ensuring the highest quality of care for residents. Responsibilities include planning and directing unit care, supervising nursing staff, coordinating with physicians, and ensuring complete, accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered LPN license in Illinois.
• Must possess CPR certification or obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures; comfort with caring for the aged.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
• Plan, develop, and direct nursing care for the unit.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures and quality care standards.
• Complete required assessments at admission, transfer, or discharge; chart care accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered; coordinate with physicians as needed.
