Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a night shift, full-time Licensed Practical Nurse. Join a dedicated team in a not-for-profit health system focused on partnering with people to live healthier lives.

You will assess patients, contribute to care plans under RN supervision, and promote wellness through education while adhering to patient confidentiality and quality initiatives. On-call and float requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure in Oklahoma or a multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state.
• BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Other certifications and competencies required based on service line skill.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the assessment / re-assessment of patients.
• Contributes to the plan of care under the supervisor of a Registered Nurse.
• Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions.
• Monitors for signs and symptoms related to abnormal lab values and deviation from baseline assessments.
• Reports changes in patient status to the physician and initiates any new orders from the physician as directed.
• Promotes wellness and provides patient / caregiver education.
• Works with care team to implement and ensure patient quality and safety initiatives.
• Promotes patient satisfaction and ensures patient confidentiality at all times.
• May be required to float to other units.
• May be required to participate in on call status.
