Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Review and document care plans; ensure plans are followed.
• Supervise Nursing Assistants; provide education and adjust assignments.
• Prepare and administer medications and treatments; monitor responses.
• Consult with physicians and receive/record orders as required.

What You Bring to the Table:

Essential Qualifications:

• Evaluates the physical, emotional, and social needs of the residents.
• Reviews residents care plans, assures plans are followed and documents resident medical records.
• Supervises care provided by the Nursing Assistants assigned to the unit, providing intervention, education, and assignment adjustments.
• Prepares and administers medication and treatments.
• Consults with physicians.
• Receives and records orders as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Current Louisiana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

Must possess the following skills:

• Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
• Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment.
