Job summary

Miami Jewish Health in Miami, FL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in a skilled nursing facility. The role requires adherence to care plans, regulatory guidelines and nursing standards under supervision of RNs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of long term care / skilled nursing facility environment.
• Computer literacy and ability to use basic software.
• Self-directing and able to work with little direct supervision.
• Able to speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per care plan and guidelines.
• Admit, discharge and transfer residents as needed.
• Plan, implement and evaluate nursing care plans.
• Document according to standards and procedures.
• Prepare, administer and record medications accurately.
• Receive and execute physicians' orders.
• Supervise and guide CNAs in daily activities.
• Support orientation of new personnel.
