Job summary

North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown, ND is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for full-time, part-time, and temporary roles with various shifts. You will administer medications, provide education, and help develop individualized care plans within a Psychiatric-Mental Health framework.

In this role you will transcribe orders, manage med requisitions, document care, and participate in care plan development.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse license required (ND Board of Nursing or eligible for ND licensure).
• Ability to administer medications and provide med education.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments to clients.
• Provide medication education to clients.
• Identify client needs via interviews and observations.
• Transcribe physicians’ orders and prepare medication requisitions.
• Develop, implement, and revise nursing care plans.
• Complete all required documentation.
• Investigate and assess client complaints and take appropriate action.
• Delegate tasks to Direct Care Associates.
