Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in North Woodmere, NY is seeking a compassionate LPN Supervisor to oversee, mentor and nurture a team of nurses, HHAs, resident care aides and medication technicians in the Wellness/Resident Services Center. You will serve as shift supervisor in the absence of the Director, providing attentive help to residents with daily living activities and medication administration.

Qualifications

• Must have staff supervisory and medication oversight experience.
• Active LPN certification required.
• Experience assisting residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus.
• Caring, reliable and observant with an understanding of MARs and doctors' orders.
• Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, mentor and nurture a team of nurses, HHAs, resident care aides and medication technicians in the Wellness/Resident Services Center.
• Act as the shift supervisor in the absence of the Director.
• Provide caring and attentive help to residents in managing activities of daily living (ADLs) and in administering medications.
• Lead the team in caring for residents with skill and genuine kindness.

Acting as the shift supervisor in the absence of the Director, you will provide caring and attentive help to residents in managing their activities of daily living (ADLs) as well as in the administration of their medications — all while leading the team in caring for residents with skill and genuine kindness. Your role is essential to the care and safety of residents who choose to call The Bristal home. The loving care and professionalism you bring to the services you provide are fundamental to the quality of life and the general wellbeing of our residents every day.Additional Responsibilities Include

• Following all policies and procedures, and adhering to the instructions of the Director of Wellness
• Must have staff supervisory and medication oversight experience, preferably in an assisted living, nursing home or similar environment
• You must have an active LPN certification and be driven by a genuine desire to improve the quality of life of our residents
• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus
• Must be caring, reliable and observant with an understanding of MAR’s and doctors' orders
