Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse licensure Nebraska or a compact state as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act.
• Minimum of three years medical/surgical experience in hospital/health operations.
• General background in all areas of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Schedule multi-resource inpatient/outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic services with physician staff.
• Collect patient information including medical necessity, demographics and clinical data.
• Educate patients on preparation and understanding of procedures.
• Collaborate with physician office staff to explain instructions to patients or representatives.
• Review outpatient orders for appropriateness and follow-up as needed.
• Document verbal physician orders and pre-certification/authorization details.
