Job summary

You will obtain vital signs, reason for visit, allergies and medications, administer injections, explain tests, and support follow-up appointments while documenting changes in the chart and maintaining supplies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Maintains flow of patients to avoid delays for provider and waiting times for patients.
• Keeps exam rooms clean, disinfected and stocked with supplies.
• Obtains vital signs, reason for visit, allergies and medications from patients and prepares them for visits.
• Assists medical providers with examinations and procedures.
• Schedules outpatient follow-up and specialty appointments.
• Collects subjective and objective data and documents in the patient chart.
• Monitors changes in patient condition and documents observations.
• Retrieves messages and responds to calls from patients and other offices via telephone/computer as delegated.
• Explains tests and preparations for patient education.
• Monitors inventory and communicates information to Office Manager.
• Administers injections, vital signs, vision and hearing testing as delegated.
• Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
