Job summary

Mills Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Unit Manager (LPN/RN) to oversee the nursing unit in our Mayfield facility. This role leads RNs, LPNs and CNAs, ensures compliance with care plans, and maintains high standards of resident care and safety.

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in state.
• At least 1 year of LTC LPN/RN experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Matrixcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facility clinical systems to facilitate quality resident care.
• Deliver basic nursing care per physician orders and care plans.
• Direct and develop RNs, LPNs and CNAs on the unit to ensure high-quality care.
• Conduct ongoing resident assessments and revise care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with ADON and DON on grievances and resident concerns.
• Document nursing interventions accurately in resident charts.
• Perform medication administration and IV duties per care plan.
• Oversee shift change reports and follow-up actions.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Provide supervision and guidance to nursing staff on the unit.
