Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise CNAs.
• Ensure that all written policies and procedures that govern the day to day functions of the nursing department are followed.
• Complete all administrative functions including charting; participating in surveys; admission, transfer and discharge of residents; reporting any complaints or grievances; and evaluating the care of the residents.
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the departments.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
