Job summary

Hillcrest Shadow Lake is seeking a compassionate Day Nurse (RN/LPN) to join the team. You will provide hands-on clinical care, supporting residents and the care team throughout the day, with a focus on safety, communication, and quality care.

The role requires strong nursing assessment, medication administration, and teamwork in a senior living setting, with a full-time daytime schedule and every-other-weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Current Nebraska or compact-state RN or LPN license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Previous nursing experience in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, post-acute care, hospital, or a similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing and clinical care based on each resident’s individual needs.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team as needed.
• Administer medications accurately and on time.
• Complete prescribed treatments and other nursing interventions.
• Support fall prevention and respond appropriately to incidents or changes in condition.

What You’ll Do

As a Nurse, you will provide hands-on clinical care while supporting residents and the care team throughout the day.

You will:

• Provide quality nursing and clinical care based on each resident’s individual needs.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team as needed.

• Follow skin-care and pressure-injury prevention standards.
• Complete required assessments and nursing documentation accurately and timely.
• Review and follow individualized plans of care.
• Provide direction and support to Nurse Techs and other direct-care team members.
• Respond calmly and effectively to urgent or emergency situations.
• Communicate important updates during shift transitions.
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Follow infection-control, medication-management, and clinical safety procedures.Help maintain a safe, supportive, and organized care environment.
• Assist with additional nursing and clinical responsibilities as assigned.

• Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment.
• Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems and other healthcare technology.
• Must follow established nursing, infection-control, medication, documentation, and safety procedures.
• Must be available to work an every-other-weekend rotation.
