Job description

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs
  • Assist with the development and implementation of patient care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
  • Document patient information, medical history, and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly
  • Perform basic medical procedures such as suture removal and dressing changes
  • Assist with case management and coordination of care for patients with complex medical needs
  • Conduct physical examinations and assessments to determine patient health status
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare management
Skills
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems, such as Athenahealth, to document patient information accurately
  • Experience working in a hospital or similar healthcare setting, providing care to patients of various ages and medical conditions
  • Knowledge of medical documentation standards and ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
  • Familiarity with case management principles and ability to coordinate care for patients with multiple healthcare providers
  • Understanding of occupational health practices and ability to assess and address work-related injuries or illnesses
  • Competency in performing physical examinations, including assessing vital signs, conducting screenings, and documenting findings
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Familiarity with medical coding systems and ability to assign appropriate codes for billing purposes
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
