Job summary

Merit Health Natchez is seeking an LPN to provide essential nursing care under the supervision of Registered Nurses. The role involves assessments, medication administration, and contributing to care plans in a patient-centered environment.

You will work closely with a healthcare team to ensure safe, quality care and adherence to regulatory standards. A valid LPN or LVN license and BCLS certification are required, with ACLS preferred for progression.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience as an LPN in a healthcare setting required.
• LPN or LVN state licensure required; BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Conduct focused patient assessments and report changes to the care team.
• Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed with safety protocols.
• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and observations.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and post-discharge care.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards.
• Assist with wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection as appropriate.
• Participate in orientation and training of new staff and students.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for patient care.
• Respond to medical emergencies and support code team interventions.
