Job summary

Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care in our long-term care facility under supervision. They will assess residents, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and contribute to care planning with an interdisciplinary team.

This PRN position requires flexibility to cover 6 shifts per month, including two weekend shifts and holiday rotation, with weekend and off-hour incentives.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold an active LPN license.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Experience in geriatric/long-term care and interdisciplinary collaboration is desirable.
• Maintain current CEU and competency requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to residents in long-term care under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered and document outcomes.
• Assess residents and participate in care planning with the team.
• Communicate clearly and maintain resident confidentiality with families and staff.
