Job description

Licensed Practical Nurse – PRN Occupational Health Technician

Medcor is looking to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse on a PRN (as‑needed) basis to serve as an Onsite Health Technician at our employer‑based occupational health clinic in Myerstown, PA. The clinic operates Monday‑Friday 6:30 am‑3 pm within a modern, global pharma facility focused on occupational health and acute/episodic care.

Note: There are no guaranteed hours. If you are able to pick up occasional shifts, we invite you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary clinical care in an occupational and urgent care setting.
  • Supervise and oversee the Medcor clinic, including allied health staff.
  • Collaborate with medical and operational leadership at Medcor and client corporate contacts.
  • Participate in daily clinic operations.
  • Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses per Medcor Evidence‑Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols).
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships.
  • Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts.
  • Conduct pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings.
  • Document care using EMR and other tools.
  • Manage case work and medical charting.
  • Maintain OSHA record‑keeping.
Qualifications
  • LOVE what you do.
  • Have valid licensure for the position you are applying for.
  • Have current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Have strong computer and other technology skills (navigating cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc.) and familiarity with EMR software.
  • Be strong enough to lift a 50 lb emergency response bag.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have a positive and outgoing personality.
  • Be willing to go above and beyond just because that’s who you are.
  • Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible.
  • Be able to have fun.
  • Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment.
  • Relevant occupational health experience.
  • Experience in emergency medicine or critical care.
