Job summary

Medcor is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (PRN) for our on-site occupational health clinics in Lancaster and Leola, PA. The role involves patient care, workers’ compensation case management, medical surveillance testing, RTW program facilitation, and collaboration with client staff and medical leadership.

Flexible hours; no guaranteed scheduling, requiring readiness to pick up occasional shifts. You’ll operate under Medcor protocols, using an EMR system and state-of-the-art tools,

Qualifications

• Must have a valid LPN license.
• CPR/BLS certification current.
• Familiar with EMR software and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in on-site clinics and support RTW programs.
• Collaborate with medical leaders, client staff and external providers.
• Document care using EMR and medical surveillance tools.
• Support workers’ compensation case management and treatment plans.

Medcor is looking to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse on a PRN basis (as-needed) in our employer based, occupational health clinics in Lancaster and Leola, PA. The clinics operate:

Lancaster: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-2:30pm

Leola: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm and 4pm - 12:30am with once a month weekend coverage.

This is on an as needed basis there are no guaranteed hours. Scheduling depends on clinic and employee availability. If you have the availability to pick up an occasional shift we invite you to apply.

The position’s responsibilities include collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure. The day-to-day role of the Onsite Health Nurse includes patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, Medical Surveillance Testing, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring. This position will work closely with outside medical providers.

A typical day in the life of a Worksite Health Nurse

• Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
• Provide excellent customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
• Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs)
• Build and maintain internal team relationships
• Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts
• Documentation of care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
• Perform Medical Surveillance screening and testing
• Medical charting

You Must

• LOVE what you do
• Have valid Licensed Practical Nurse license
• Have current CPR/BLS
• Have strong computer and other technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc.), as well as familiarity with EMR software
• Be strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
• Possess excellent verbal / written communication skills
• Have a positive and outgoing personality
• Be willing to go above and beyond just because that’s who you are
• Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible
• Be able to have fun

It's a Plus If

• You are comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment
• You have relevant occupational health experience
• You have experience in emergency medicine or critical care
