Job summary

Inspira Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide nursing care under physician supervision. The role includes vital signs, basic clinical tasks, and EKGs in a medical practice setting.

Qualifications include a state license, graduation from an approved LPN program, and CPR certification. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and charting is required, along with the ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under physician and supervisor guidance, including vital signs.
• Perform clinical duties such as routine blood draws, immunizations, injections, and point-of-care testing.
• Conduct EKGs and basic patient assessments in line with Inspira policies and external regulations.
• Assist with basic patient care activities and documentation, ensuring accurate medical records.

Job description

A nonexempt position responsible for nursing care under the supervision of physicians and clinical services manager. May be responsible for basic clinical tasks including but not limited to, vital signs, routine blood draws, immunization, injections, point of care testing, and EKG’s and provides care that is consistent with Inspira policies and external regulations and requirements.Education & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.Minimum one year of LPN experience; clinical experience preferred.Experience in a medical practice environment strongly preferred.Certification/Licensure:State-licensed practical nurse.American Heart Healthcare Provider CP.Knowledge & Skills:Able to operate multi-line phone system, update and modify EMR records on computer, understand medical charting, able to operate stethoscope, echocardiography (EKG) machine, ear-washing instruments, blood pressure cuff, speculums, and other nursing items.May involve use of walkers, wheelchairs, pulse oximetry, and oxygen tanks.Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions. Understanding of documentation standards.Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.
