Job summary

Qualifications

• LPN licensure in Virginia or eligible for licensure.
• Current BLS certification or equivalent.
• Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing.
• Experience in acute care or applicable area preferred.
• Follows physician/licensed independent provider orders and practice guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate direct nursing care and document it.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor for interactions.
• Support the health care team in prevention, wellness, and patient comfort.
• Follow established plans of care and organizational guidelines.
• Assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level as assigned.
