Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is now hiring an LPN for a Primary Care Clinic in Virginia. The position offers 20-30 hours per week across 2 or 3 days, with coverage on every other weekend. Clinic hours are weekday to weekend rotations with potential for extension or transition to full-time.

Responsibilities include vaccinations, vital signs, patient assessments, EHR documentation, and patient education. Benefits and a 401(k) match are available for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations, injections, and various medications.
• Obtain and document vitals and monitor patient conditions.
• Conduct routine and complex patient assessments and document responses.
• Provide emergency care in collaboration with on-site provider.
• Perform medication reviews and screen for drug interactions.
• Conduct mental health screenings and document findings.
• Document medical histories, medications, allergies, and treatments in EHR.
• Educate patients on medications, treatments, self-care, and disease management.
• Coordinate access to healthcare services and refer to resources.
• Communicate with patients, families, healthcare providers, and team members.
• Handle patient registration, intake, scheduling, and reminders.
• Support patient flow and waiting room management.
• Serve as chaperone during sensitive exams while ensuring privacy.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms and clinic spaces.
• Assist with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.

Hours

20-30 hours per week 2 OR 3 days per week - must be able to cover every other weekend Business Hours - Monday - Friday 8:30am-7:30pm, Saturday 9AM - 5:30PM, Sunday 9AM - 4:30PM

Assignments

Assignments are expected to last six months; Opportunities for extension and conversion to full-time employment may be available.

Compensation

The pay for this position is $37.17 an hour

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations, injections, and oral, intravenous, injectable, and topical medications.
• Obtain, monitor, and accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
• Perform routine and complex patient assessments, monitor pain levels, identify abnormalities, and document treatment responses.
• Provide emergency care in collaboration with the on‑site provider during emergent situations.
• Conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects, contraindications, and drug interactions.
• Perform mental health screenings to assess depression, mood, behavior, and cognitive function.
• Accurately document patient medical histories, medications, allergies, surgeries, family history, and treatment information in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, self-care, and disease management.
• Coordinate patient access to healthcare services and connect patients with appropriate community resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Perform patient registration, intake, checkout, appointment scheduling, and reminder/outreach calls.
• Assist with patient flow and waiting room management to promote an efficient and positive patient experience.
• Serve as a chaperone during sensitive examinations while maintaining patient privacy, comfort, and dignity.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, clinic areas, and waiting spaces in a clean, organized, welcoming, and well‑stocked condition.
• Support the healthcare team with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.
