Job summary

A-Line Staffing is seeking an LPN for a Primary Care Clinic in Texas. The role offers 30-40 hours per week over 3-4 days with coverage required for every other weekend. Work hours include 8:30am-7:30pm on weekdays and limited weekend shifts. Assignments are six months with potential extension or conversion to full-time.

The position pays $37.17 per hour with benefits for full-time staff, including a 401(k) with company match. Prior LPN experience in primary care, urgent care, or ER is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Room.
• Ability to administer vaccines, injections, oral and IV medications.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations, injections, and topical medications.
• Obtain and document vital signs.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor pain.
• Provide emergency care with on-site provider.
• Conduct medication reviews and assess drug interactions.
• Document medical history and treatments in EHR.
• Educate patients on medications and disease management.
• Coordinate access to services and resources.
• Communicate with patients, families and care teams.
• Assist with registration, scheduling, and reminder calls.
• Support patient flow and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Maintain examination rooms and clinic areas.

Assignments are expected to last six months; Opportunities for extension and conversion to full-time employment may be available.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations, injections, and oral, intravenous, injectable, and topical medications.
• Obtain, monitor, and accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
• Perform routine and complex patient assessments, monitor pain levels, identify abnormalities, and document treatment responses.
• Provide emergency care in collaboration with the on-site provider during emergent situations.
• Conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects, contraindications, and drug interactions.
• Perform mental health screenings to assess depression, mood, behavior, and cognitive function.
• Accurately document patient medical histories, medications, allergies, surgeries, family history, and treatment information in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, self-care, and disease management.
• Coordinate patient access to healthcare services and connect patients with appropriate community resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Perform patient registration, intake, checkout, appointment scheduling, and reminder/outreach calls.
• Assist with patient flow and waiting room management to promote an efficient and positive patient experience.
• Serve as a chaperone during sensitive examinations while maintaining patient privacy, comfort, and dignity.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, clinic areas, and waiting spaces in a clean, organized, welcoming, and well-stocked condition.
• Support the healthcare team with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.
