Job summary

Orange-Avenue-Surgery-Center in Orlando, FL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing (PAT). This full-time role focuses on obtaining histories, educating patients before surgery, documenting screenings, and supporting pre- and post-operative care while upholding privacy and safety standards.

The LPN will train new staff, coordinate with physicians and the surgical team, and help maintain a professional, organized PAT environment in a multi-specialty ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• LPN with at least 3+ years of clinical experience required.
• Experience in Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) is desirable.
• Experience in pre- and post-operative nursing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient medical and surgical histories, medications and allergies.
• Educate patients on pre-surgery procedures and instructions.
• Document screening calls and ensure patient privacy.
• Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative phone calls and assessments.
• Assist with training and orientation of new LPN staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe PAT area and collaborate with the surgical team.
