Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors and review medical histories to determine donation eligibility, escalating questions to the Center Medical Director as needed.

Responsibilities include reviewing test results, assessing donor status, and counseling donors on reactive results, with referrals to community facilities for follow-up.

Qualifications

• Must have active clinical qualification in a health-related field (paramedic, nurse, PA, MD/DO, etc.).
• Experience in donor screening or plasma collection environments preferred.
• Ability to assess physical signs, such as heart and lung sounds, and detect drug use.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis under supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine donation eligibility.
• Answer donor questions and advise staff on donor suitability with Medical Director input.
• Review test results and assess continued donor suitability; refer as needed.
• Counsel donors regarding reactive test results and refer for follow-up.
