Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist physician staff in clinical visits.
• Answer calls and route information to the appropriate provider.
• Assist with patient exams, treatments, procedures.
• Perform patient calls regarding test results and follow-up care.
• Collect data and recognize normal/abnormal findings.
• Coordinate follow-up care including tests and referrals.
• Document assessment and care in the medical record.
• Ensure pre-certification of tests/consults.
• Perform and document basic waived laboratory duties.
• Submit prescriptions to the pharmacy in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families about the plan of care.
