Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring licensed practical nurses (LPN) to work 1 on 1 with a pediatric patient, 9-12 hours a day. Training available for new or inexperienced nurses.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license for the state of practice.
• Current Health Certificate as required by contract or state regulation.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year of LPN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services.
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests revisions as patient status changes.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and goals.
• Intervenes in response to changes in patient condition and reports such changes to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, monitors and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching, care coordination, and discharge planning.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience preferred.
