Job summary

The University of Kentucky HealthCare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care under the direction of an RN. The role involves ongoing assessments, planning, implementing and evaluating a nursing plan of care, delivering direct patient care and contributing to patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license to practice in Kentucky or eligible by hire date.
• Ability to work three 12-hour shifts per week, with some weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, continuous and patient-centered care under the direction of an RN, including ongoing assessments, planning, implementing and evaluating a nursing plan of care.
• Deliver direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians (NCTs).
• Adhere to University policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations.
