Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care teams across sites. The LPN supports delivery of care to neonate, pediatric, adult and elderly patients within scope of practice, following MMC policies.

You will participate in performance improvement activities, maintain clinical expertise, document care, administer medications with 100% compliance, and collaborate with RNs to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifikationen

• High School/GED required.
• 1-3 years of nursing experience.
• Effective English communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal.
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
• Additional education required by specialty care location.
• OHS Annual Assessment required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in New York.
• OHS Fit Test required.
• NYS license for Practical Nurse and current registration to practice in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Aufgaben

• Provide patient/family teaching and discharge instructions.
• Able to set priorities, problem-solve, and use proper judgment in difficult situations.
• Provides and maintains safe environment for patients/families through preventive and interventional measures.
• Documents direct patient care as per MMC policies and procedures with 100% accuracy.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement and collaborates with the RN and health care team.
