Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
• Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved by American Heart Association (CPR & AED).
• Act 33 with renewal
• Act 34 with renewal
• Act 73 FBI Clearance

Aufgaben

• Delivers direct and indirect patient care in accordance with LPN practice act and policies.
• Collects patient health data including vitals, weight, and pain assessment.
• Involves patient/family and other health care providers when appropriate.
• Completes patient care treatments/testing as ordered by the physician.
• Administers medications/immunizations as appropriate for patient age.
• Maintains documentation accuracy and completeness.
• Provides education to patients and families within scope of practice.
• Maintains patient safety and uses two forms of patient identification.
• Prepares patients for examinations and assists physicians with procedures.
• Maintains environment of care and ensures supplies are replenished daily.
• Acts as a resource and supports precept/mentoring of new hires and students.
