Job summary

Qualifications

• LPN licensure in Missouri required.
• BLS certification required.
• Two years acute care nursing or two years office nursing experience preferred.
• Must possess typing skills and computer knowledge.
• Ability to present information clearly to patients and families.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required for business use.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with NHS providers and staff to achieve goals and comply with policies.
• Treat patients and all staff with respect and professionalism.
• Record vital signs, medical history, and prepare patients for providers.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Assist patients with mobility and exam-room transitions.
• Distribute patient education materials and communicate information tactfully.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain instrument sterility.
• Triages patient calls and follows up as required by providers.
• Administer injections as needed.
• Prepare records for referrals and share critical information with other providers.
• Draw lab samples and prepare specimens for shipment.
• Assist physicians with procedures and maintain equipment.
• Answer phones and screen calls, directing as appropriate.
• Document visits, refills, and communications in the EHR.
• Identify and order necessary medical supplies per NHS policy.
• Maintain tracking logs for labs, imaging, and referrals.
• Participate in clinical meetings and trainings.
• Document assessments, treatments, and medications during downtime.
• Comply with HIPAA and all regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
