Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our clinical team. Under supervision and in collaboration with providers, you will participate in patient care, measure vital signs, prepare patients for exams and procedures, assist with clinic flow, and help with procedures and phlebotomy as needed.

You will document in the electronic medical record and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout visits.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Louisiana
• BLS certification
• Compliance with CPI/NCI-CPI training or within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient care under supervision and in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Measures and records vital signs per policy and patient age.
• Prepares patients for examinations, treatment and procedures.
• Assists with clinic flow and patient scheduling as needed.
• Administers prescribed medications and vaccinations as ordered.
• Documents clinical tasks and results in the EMR.
• Maintains patient privacy and safety throughout visits.
• Ensures a clean and safe clinic environment.
