Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare Mountaineer Inpatient in Kearneysville, WV, seeks an LPN for 12-hour night shifts (7 PM–7 AM). Join a team delivering inpatient care for substance use disorders with focused nursing responsibilities and supportive environments.

Current WV LPN license and CPR/BLS/First Aid are required. Low physical demands, electronic MAR, and opportunities to gain behavioral health experience are highlighted in this role.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in West Virginia.
• Current CPR/BLS, AED, and First Aid certification.
• Compassionate approach and interest in behavioral health treatment.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial nursing assessments for new admissions.
• Administer medications and provide medication education.
• Monitor clients during detox and complete COWS and CIWA assessments.
• Support medical providers with initial assessments and medication management.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned.

• $28–$32/hour + differentials
• 12-hour night shifts: 7 PM–7 AM
• No ADLs — clients are independent with bathing, feeding, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• No IVs, ports, or midlines
• No blood draws — handled by a contracted national laboratory.
• No catheters
• Minimal physical demands — no heavy lifting or prolonged standing/walking.
• Electronic eMAR — no paper MARs.
• Gain valuable experience in substance use disorder and detox nursing.

What You'll Do

As an LPN, you'll provide hands-on nursing care while supporting clients through the early stages of recovery.

Your responsibilities will include:
